As the owner of one of the oldest surviving businesses on Pickwick Lake, Duane Wright began his life on Pickwick Lake at the young age of three years old when he moved here with his family in 1968. In the beginning Duane started as a young child helping his father carry tools around Pickwick Lake while working on boats. His father began the business of servicing and repairing boats and Duane has grown up working all around Pickwick Lake repairing and servicing boats.
In 1988 Duane purchased the Wrights Marine Company from his father & family and added new boat dealership to the company and sold and serviced new boats up until 1996 and at that time Wrights Marine started manufacturing floating boat lifts and began adding Marine Construction to the business. After a few years of the construction business Duane decided that he should end all the sales and service of boats and focus solely on the Marine construction business.
With all the experience and knowledge of working on Pickwick Lake for over 40 years, Duane found that many of his clients had an interest in inquiring from him information about property on Pickwick Lake.
